Bio
Jon Strain is a managing partner of Juniper Real Estate LLC, the parent of Excelsa Capital, LLC. Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Strain was a Partner with Juniper Capital Partners, LLC from 2016 to 2019.
Prior to joining Juniper, Mr. Strain was Managing Director and Co-Head of US Real Estate Finance for Goldman Sachs from 2014 to 2016, Managing Director at JP Morgan Chase from 2007 to 2014, where he served as the Head of CMBS Capital Markets, Managing Director at Dillon Read Capital Management from 2006 to 2007, and a Managing Director for Morgan Stanley from 1993 to 2006. Prior to that, he served as Vice President of Development for Fifield Companies from 1985 to 1993, where he worked in a variety of roles on the development of real estate in the Chicago area.
Mr. Strain graduated from Brown University in 1984 with a Bachelor’s Degree focused in Organizational Behavior Studies and Economics.
