Bio
As Senior Vice-President, Curtis serves as the firm’s AMO® Executive and leads the strategic direction of the Commercial Property Management team, which collectively manages over 30msf of commercial assets consisting of office, retail, industrial, and medical across Virginia and South Carolina. Curtis is a positive leader who brings a charismatic, inspirational, and participative management style to the industry. He has over 30 years of customer service, management, and leadership experience working in hospitality, multi-family, and over 26 years in commercial real estate, joining the firm in 1994 as a Commercial Property Manager.
Like others on the leadership TEAM, he is a “player-coach”, and since 1996 has worked closely with a large health-care system administering and assisting them with one of their medical campuses. His continual goal over his tenure has been to develop and implement a service-oriented culture. This culture is designed to build and foster a relationship-driven model for the benefit of the firm’s clients, associates, and tenants.
He earned his degree from Virginia Tech majoring in property management, the first major of its kind in the United States. He remains active with the property management major and advisory board, where he was a past chairman. In addition, he serves as a board member for the Virginia Tech Program in Real Estate as he has since its inception. The Program is a nationally ranked interdisciplinary academic program established in 2013 and built with the strengths of six existing colleges within the university.
