Bio
Collin Comer serves as managing director of Transwestern Investment Group (TIG), overseeing all aspects of the acquisition process including investment strategy, sourcing, due diligence, structuring, and market/asset selection. Collin leads TIG's investment activities on a national basis and is responsible for sourcing and overseeing new business and acquisition opportunities. CAREER HIGHLIGHTS Collin has over 15 years of experience in finance and real estate having actively invested and managed over $3 billion of gross assets during his career. Prior to joining TIG, he was a vice president at Hunt Realty Investments (HRI), a private equity real estate investment firm owned by Hunt Consolidated. During his 10 year tenure at HRI, Collin was responsible for developing investment strategies, sourcing new operating partners and overseeing several of the firm operating company investments. In addition, he was also played a key role in the formation of Akard Street Partners, a $200 million investment partnership with the Teacher Retirement System of Texas. Prior to HRI, he was with Archon Group, a subsidiary of Goldman, Sachs & Company, where he held a variety of responsibilities including domestic and international real estate asset and non-performing loan portfolio acquisitions, corporate privatizations, direct-owned hotel dispositions and management of various joint ventures. PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATION / RECOGNITION Collin is an active member of the Pension Real Estate Association (PREA) and the National Multi Housing Council (NMHC).
