Biography
Christopher Turner is driven by a passion for helping nonprofit and community organizations align their real estate with their mission—ensuring they have the right space to do their most meaningful work while maximizing their resources.
As Managing Director of Denham Wolf’s Transaction Services practice, Christopher leads a team that plans, structures, and negotiates real estate transactions for individual assets and portfolios. He helps clients create value from their real estate, which is often one of the largest budget items for nonprofits, second only to staffing costs. With more than 25 years of experience in commercial real estate, Christopher has advocated for clients in the nonprofit sector on hundreds of projects, representing organizations in a wide range of acquisitions and dispositions.
His deep industry knowledge strengthens every engagement and supports informed decision-making. At the heart of each assignment is a commitment to helping clients understand the physical, fiscal, and organizational impacts of their options—an approach that builds consensus and fosters intelligently opportunistic decisions. The majority of his projects come from repeat clients who trust and retain his team as dedicated advocates and skilled negotiators.
Christopher’s clients include a broad range of community-focused organizations, such as foundations, healthcare providers, community-based organizations, educational institutions, faith-based groups, visual and performing arts organizations, cultural institutions, and supportive housing providers. He has been involved in more than 8 million square feet of closed transactions and advisory assignments across the United States.
Prior to joining Denham Wolf, Christopher provided advisory services on acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing for major global brokerages in the United States and the United Kingdom. He has consulted for organizations with assets across the industrial, office, retail, and residential sectors, and held real estate advisory and managerial roles within the UK government’s health and justice sectors.
Christopher trained as an appraiser and is a member and former U.S. Chairman of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the world’s leading professional body for qualifications and standards in land, property, infrastructure, and construction. He is a member of ULI, an active participant in ULI NEXT, a perennial mentor to ULI Young Leaders, Vice Chairman of the Young Men & Women’s Real Estate Association (YM/WREA), and a Trustee of The Children’s Storefront, a nonprofit that works with parents and caregivers to build their babies’ brains in the first thousand days of life, building a strong foundation for lifelong success.
