Christopher Doerr, managing director, joined Walker & Dunlop Investment Sales in November 2015. Mr. Doerr is responsible for the origination and execution of investment sales and equity capital raise for multifamily assets in the Mid-Atlantic and is based out of the Bethesda, Maryland office. Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Mr. Doerr served as a senior managing director for five years at Cushman & Wakefield. There, he worked with owners of institutional real estate providing disposition services for multifamily properties and land in the Washington, D.C. area as well as joint venture structuring, recapitalization, and equity placement. Throughout his career, Mr. Doerr has sold or financed over 16,000 units in the Mid-Atlantic region. In 2013, he was awarded the Washington Business Journal apartment deal of the year for his involvement in the sale of Sedona-Slate Apartments in Arlington, Virginia. Additionally, Mr. Doerr won the 2014 Commercial Real Estate Brokerage Association sales transaction of the year for 2401 Pennsylvania Ave Apartments in Washington, D.C. Mr. Doerr holds a Juris Doctorate and Master of Business Administration from the University of Richmond and a Bachelor of business administration from James Madison University. Beyond the Company, Mr. Doerr is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), National Multi-Housing Council (NMHC), and the Virginia Bar Association.
