Chris Apone is Managing Director of Berkadia, based in the firm's South Florida office. With nearly 16 years of commercial real estate finance expertise, he specializes in providing capital solutions for a variety of asset types, with a particular focus on multifamily and office properties throughout the country. Chris has extensive experience working with a variety of lender types including agency lenders (Freddie Mac/Fannie Mae), structured finance sources, life insurance companies, CMBS/Wall Street, and non-recourse bank lenders. With extensive experience in both the underwriting and marketing of commercial real estate assets, Chris brings both a technical and creative approach to each deal. In 2017 he was directly involved in $700 Million of finance deal volume and has been involved in more than $12 billion in real estate sale and finance transactions over the course of his career.Prior to joining Berkadia, Chris served as Senior Vice President within CBRE's Capital Markets Debt & Structured Finance Division. Chris started his career as a market research analyst at Cushman & Wakefield and shortly after was recruited by CBRE to work with a top producing capital markets team where he was involved in over $5 Billion of office and industrial investment sale assignments on behalf of institutional clients.
