Chris Sweeney

Chris Sweeney is the Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer at Atlas Real Estate Partners. Chris is responsible for formation, structuring, tax and legal documentation of new investment vehicles with external tax and securities counsel. Chris also leads the firm’s finance group which is responsible for banking, legal, investor relations, tax and accounting for the Atlas portfolio as well as the General Partner.

Prior to joining Atlas, Chris was a Vice President at TriLyn Investment Management LLC where he oversaw accounting, reporting and asset management of the firm’s real estate debt portfolio. He also had a key role as an analyst in the firm’s advisory business, with responsibility for surveillance and asset management for certain global private equity real estate funds. Previously, Chris was as an Associate at Aetos Capital LLC, where he managed the accounting and financial reporting process for Aetos Capital Asia II, a $2.2 billion fund. He is also an alumnus of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP’s Investment Management Services group.

Chris graduated with honors with a B.S. in Finance & Accounting from the Martin J. Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University. He held leadership positions with an academic and a social fraternity, and received the Joseph I. Lubin School of Accounting Leadership Award. Chris enjoys dining adventures, live music, argentine tango, swimming and kiteboarding.
