Chris Cozby, Executive Vice President with CBRE's National Retail Investment Group, has specialized in all phases of retail commercial real estate, representing institutional clients within Dallas-Ft. Worth, the southwest and nationally.
Mr. Cozby has extensive experience in acquisition, disposition, marketing, site selection and tenant representation, with a focus on income producing properties. He has worked extensively with property owners in formulating strategic disposition initiatives and marketing execution. Mr. Cozby has successfully closed in excess of $1.5B in sales and totaling in excess of 4,000,000 square feet throughout the Southwest in his career. Throughout the past 25 years Mr. Cozby has successfully negotiated transactions in nearly every major market throughout the Southwest.
Prior to joining CBRE, Mr. Cozby was a founding Principal of Thackeray Partners, a Dallas-based private equity firm, from 2005-2010. During his tenure, Thackeray successfully raised two equity funds (Fund I: $232M and Fund II: $300M). While at Thackeray he acquired approximately 2M square feet of retail across the U.S. ranging from strip centers and grocery anchored centers to enclosed malls. Before Thackeray, Mr. Cozby was a Principal at Trammell Crow Company from 1997-2005, where he led the Retail Division from 1998-2002 and co-managed the DFW Investment Services Division from 2002-2005.
