Chris Cowan

MANAGING DIRECTOR

Chris Cowan is a Managing Director for Arc Capital Partners, responsible for acquisitions and capital transactions.

Prior to joining Arc Capital Partners, Chris was Partner and Market Leader for ViaWest Group, and led their expansion into California. Prior to ViaWest, Chris was the Portfolio Oversight responsible for the opportunistic real estate private equity strategy at CIM Group, and also spent a number of years there on the Investments team. Prior to CIM, Chris was a Director at AvalonBay where he led land acquisition and new development of apartment and mixed-use projects totaling over 1,300 units across Southern California. Earlier in his career, he held roles with JP Morgan in both Los Angeles and San Francisco, and similar positions with several investment banking firms in New York.

Chris is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and Stanford Professionals in Real Estate (SPIRE). Chris graduated from Stanford University (B.S., Economics) and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School where he was a Toigo Fellow. He enjoys fitness, blues guitar and cooking for his family.
