Bio

Carlos E. Gonzalez is AHS Residential’s Chief Investment Officer (CIO) directly responsible for executing capital transaction strategies including arranging all debt and equity at the project level while coordinating with business unit leaders in development, construction, and property management with a view of maximizing return on project investment. In addition, Carlos manages the asset management team responsible for monitoring each project and executing investment sales strategies of AHS Residential completed projects.

 

Carlos has been a member of the Executive Management Team since 2015 and serves on the Finance, Investment and Audit Committees at AHS Residential. Prior to assuming his new role, Carlos held the position of Chief Financial Officer from January 2015 to June 2021.

 

Prior to joining AHS Residential, Carlos oversaw and managed commercial and construction loans as Vice President and Senior Relationship Manager for BankUnited, N.A.’s Corporate Banking Division, where he worked primarily with large contractors and middle-market companies. From 1999 to 2009, he was Vice President and Relationship Manager for SunTrust Bank’s Commercial Real Estate Group.

 

Carlos has served in the Board of Directors of the Builders Association of South Florida (BASF) since 2006, acting as its first vice president in 2009. He holds a Master of Science in Finance from Florida International University (FIU) and a Bachelor of Science in both finance and real estate from Florida State University (FSU).
