Cap Putt

Caperton (Cap) Putt joined Trez Capital in March 2021 as Managing Director, Head of Origination in Atlanta. He brings extensive experience in analysis of credit risk and originating creative loans. He is responsible for growing and leading the Atlanta team by sourcing, underwriting, and structuring new business opportunities.

Prior to this role, Cap led the Citizens Commercial Real Estate Finance team in Atlanta. He grew the team of underwriters and portfolio managers to support in the origination effort not only in Atlanta but also in Charlotte. Prior, he was the SVP - Regional Credit Officer for Iberia Bank (f/k/a Georgia Commerce Bank) where he was responsible for the underwriting and credit approval for all loans. Cap spent most of his career with Wachovia Bank N.A., where he spent over 20 years servings as their Market Manager and Regional Executive in their Real Estate Financial Services Group, overseeing the origination of construction loans and working closely with underwriting and capital market teams.

He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia.
