Bio

Bruce Surry is an Executive Vice President at CBRE, working both nationally and across New York City with a focus in Lower Manhattan and Midtown South. His responsibilities include local, national and international tenant representation, agency representation – including the leasing and marketing of hundreds of thousands of square feet of office space – and the marketing of investment properties on behalf of his ownership clients.

Having been active in the commercial real estate industry for more than 30 years, Mr. Surry has played an important role in the post-9/11 rebirth of Downtown Manhattan through his work on several notable projects, including the leasing of 600,000 square feet at 3 World Financial Center (now 200 Vesey Street) on behalf Brookfield Properties. Mr. Surry’s other significant deals and agencies include his representation of the New York State Attorney General in a 345,000-square-foot relocation to 28 Liberty Street; his representation of Mercy College in its lease of 100,000 square feet and creation of a leasehold condominium at 2 Herald Square; and the leasing and marketing of 800,00 square feet of space at One State Street and 25 Broadway for the Wolfson Group.

Mr. Surry has been the top CBRE Downtown Manhattan real estate professional for the past thirteen years. His numerous accolades include the 2010 William H. McCarthy award, CBRE’s highest national brokerage honor. He also holds the distinction of being Downtown’s Broker of the Year for five consecutive years.

Mr. Surry resides in Manhattan and is an active participant in the New York City Mentoring Program, Literacy Volunteers and is a sponsor of the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind in Smithtown, Long Island.
