Area of SpecializationMr. Bauer specializes in the entitlement and sale of residential subdivision land. He emphasizes in-fill opportunities in the East Bay as well as larger tracts in the path of growth.BackgroundMr. Bauer previously worked with Grubb & Ellis Company for fifteen years. During his tenure with Grubb & Ellis, he was involved in a wide variety of real estate activities including leasing and investment sales. However, beginning in 1990, he focused full time on land entitlement and sales, both in residential and industrial properties. Since 1990, he has sold nearly 1,400 acres of land from as large as a 500-acre parcel to as small as two acres. These sales have translated into nearly 2,500 single-family lots in more than ten different communities. From 1987 to 1990 and again from 1993 to 1998, Bauer was top producer in the Land Division as well as top 5 in the Walnut Creek Office for many of those same years.Prior to starting his real estate career, Mr. Bauer worked for several different transit agencies including six year for the Bay Area Rapid Transit District.
