Bio

Brian Vargo brings a strong sense of both architectural design and real estate finance to the LIVWRK team. Having studied architecture at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo and real estate development at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, he creates unique value in the overlap between design and development.

 

Brian has prominent work experience abroad in Scandinavia, where he worked several years with jaja architects and H Projects, successful architecture and real estate development firms based in Copenhagen. In 2016, he led his own architecture and design firm, Vargo Nielsen Palle, to win the international New Aarch competition for Denmark's first purpose-built Architecture school in Aarhus among 237 competition entries. The project is currently in construction and due for completion in 2020.

 

Brian has also worked extensively in New York real estate development. Most recently, Brian was a development project manager at Barrett Design, where he specialized in acquisitions, architectural design, and construction management of the firm's key projects, bringing buildings from initial underwriting to reality.

 

Brian possesses a unique combination of talents, encompassing design-thinking, zoning analysis, and financial feasibility. He balances these broad skills to design solutions that create the most value for the development team, client, and built project,
