Brian Schmergel

Brian Schmergel joined CBRE's Washington, DC office in 2017 as a First Vice President focused on Tenant Representation. Mr. Schmergel's primary responsibility includes tenant generation and prospecting. Mr. Schmergel's real estate career has focused on Tenant Representation in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area since 2004.

Mr. Schmergel has assisted in the representation of some of the World's most prestigious corporations, government contractors, associations and non-profits. Through his strategic approach, effective negotiation tactics and thorough implementation, Mr. Schmergel offers his clients best-in-class service resulting in cost savings, lease flexibility and space optimization for his clients.

Mr. Schmergel has closed several hundred million dollars in gross leasing transactions in his career with a partial list of his clients including ASM Research, NJVC, YFU, School Nutrition Association, DBIA, Sage Communications, Canvas, Moore and Lee, ASI Government, FedEx, Sharp Electronics and Acon Investments.

Most recently, Mr. Schmergel served as Vice President at Cushman & Wakefield where he provided tenant representation services for his clients. Prior to joining Cushman and Wakefield, Mr. Schmergel was a Director at Newmark Grubb Knight Frank for ten years where he began his professional career in real estate.
