Brian Bode

Brian Bode founded Excelsior in 2011 and has more than 20 years’ experience in raising private capital from institutional investors and family offices. Prior to forming Excelsior, he held senior distribution and execution roles for 7 years at larger placements agents including the UBS Investment Bank and Atlantic ~ Pacific Capital in New York. In addition to his time as an external placement agent, he has also served as an internal capital raiser and lead investment relations professional at Ram Realty Partners and Bell Partners, two fully-integrated operators in the retail and multifamily sectors with 30+ year track records. On a since inception basis, Excelsior has advised on successful private real estate capital raises in excess of $2 billion in equity.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Bode co-managed the BellSouth (now, AT&T) pension fund real asset portfolio. In addition, he invested in alternative asset strategies (global private equity, distressed debt, hedge funds) from 1998-2002. He also had experience as a management consultant and performing "Big Four" financial statement audits for real estate and clients in other industries. Brian graduated with honors with a B.S. in accounting from Louisiana State University and an MBA in Finance at the Goizueta Business School at Emory University.
