Profile
Blake Cohen is a Senior Director in Cushman & Wakefield's Equity, Debt & Structured Finance practice. He is responsible for arranging first-trust financing, mezzanine debt, preferred equity, and joint venture equity and is exclusively focused on multifamily transactions in the Southeast region.
Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Mr. Cohen was a Loan Officer at Voya Investment Management in Atlanta and was responsible for originating commercial real estate loans ranging from $5 million to $100 million on behalf of Voya's general account as well as third-party clients. In his six-plus years with the company, Mr. Cohen was involved in over 100 transactions totalling in excess of $2 billion across all asset classes and spanning a variety of loan programs/risk profiles including core fixed/floating rate, value-add, bridge, subordinate debt, construction-to-permanent, participating mortgage and CMBS.
Prior to his time at Voya, Mr. Cohen spent five years in the Commercial Real Estate Group at RR Donnelley Global Real Estate Services in Atlanta performing a variety of underwriting, asset management, and due diligence services on behalf of institutional lenders.
