Benji Kohn

Benji co-founded Brooklyn Standard Properties (BSP) in 2013. Benji has over a decade of experience structuring, managing and fundraising for small private equity investments. Before real estate, Benji was a key member of a strategic proprietary group at Bear Stearns which focused on investing firm capital into emerging markets in Asia. He was highly regarded for his ability to identify countries and sectors that were on the cusp of dramatic growth. These investments in China, Korea, Brazil and India generated returns of more than 35% a year from 2004 through 2007. Aditionally, Benji co-founded Paper Street Films, an industry leading NY-based independent film financing and production company, whose films have garnered great festival, critical, and commercial success. He is a graduate of Tulane University.
