Bio
Ben Poirier is the Managing Partner of MSIG and is responsible for leading and overseeing the development and execution of the firm’s short-term and long-term strategies, as well as creating and implementing the firm’s vision and mission. Ben oversees the firm’s risk management by directing the firm’s overall strategy and operations. Ben is responsible for managing the firm’s investment professionals, portfolios and ongoing investment activities, as well as forming the firm’s investment strategies and verticals.
Previously, Ben held positions at J.P. Morgan, Merrill Lynch’s Private Banking and Investment Group, and Morgan Stanley. Prior to forming MSIG, Ben was a Principal and Investment Committee Member at Township Capital, a Los Angeles-based real estate private equity firm focused on opportunistic joint venture equity across various sectors and U.S. markets. At Township, Ben oversaw the firm’s investment professionals and activities, asset management, and was actively involved in all capital raising functions across various fund vehicles and separately managed accounts. Ben has overseen the origination, structuring, execution, and management of +75 direct real estate equity joint ventures valued in excess of $5 billion.
Ben received a B.S. with a concentration in Finance from Bentley University in Waltham, MA.
