Ben Collins

Ben Collins, joined Crescent Communities in 2010 and currently serves as Executive Managing Director for the East region (North and South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee and DC). Ben has over 20 years of real estate development experience and has been responsible for the development of over 13,000 multifamily units and 350,000 sqft of retail throughout the Southeast and Southwest totaling over $2.7 billion. At Crescent Communities, Ben previously held the positions of Senior Managing Director for the West region (Tennessee, Texas, Colorado, Arizona and Utah), Vice President, Multifamily for the Mid-Atlantic region (Carolinas, TN, DC) and Regional Director for the Southeast. Prior to Crescent Communities, Collins was responsible for leading a regional multifamily office for Colonial Properties Trust (NYSE: CLP) and has served in development and acquisition roles for Grubb Properties and The Community Builders. Ben has served in multiple leadership roles including serving as Board member for: Apartment Association of North Carolina, National Multi Housing Council, Greater Charlotte Apartment Association (Vice-President) and Mosaic Development Group (Executive Committee). Ben earned a graduate degree from the University of Wisconsin - Madison Real Estate program and also has an MBA from the University of North Carolina, Charlotte.
