Austin Katai is an Associate Director and a founding member of Berkadia’s Indianapolis, IN office. Over Austin’s career he has assisted in the completion of successful debt placement for various asset classes including, Multifamily, Student Housing, Senior Housing, Affordable Housing, Hotels, Office, Retail, and Industrial. Austin specializes in the origination of multifamily loans through Berkadia’s direct origination platform for Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and FHA/HUD. In addition, Austin also works with major alternative lending sources including life insurance companies, conduits, and banks to help provide clients with tailored debt solutions.

Prior to joining Berkadia in 2020, Austin spent time with CBRE Capital Markets and held the title Senior Real Estate Analyst. Austin also previously worked with BBVA in Atlanta as part of their Commercial Real Estate Team focused on debt originations between $10 and $50 million.
