Bio
Alexander Cahlin is a Vice President working with the Occupier Services Group in South Florida. He specializes in representing office tenants throughout South Florida. Alexander joined the firm from Blanca Commercial Real Estate, where he spent seven years beginning as a research analyst and growing to an Associate VP role in landlord and tenant representation. He has a proven track record in market research, financial analysis, strategic planning and implementation, and lease negotiations.
Alexander has participated in some of South Florida's most notable tenant representation assignments, including The Miami Herald, White & Case, EisnerAmper LLP (formerly Mallah Furman), Inktel, and most recently, Akerman's relocation to Brickell City Centre. Alexander also played a role in the successful leasing of Class A office assets, such as the University of Miami Life Sciences and Technology Park, Offices at Sunset Place, and Brickell City Tower.
Alexander was recognized as a CoStar Power Broker for Miami-Dade Office Leasing Transactions in 2014 and 2015, and was part of the team that received the NAIOP Broker Team of the Year in 2015.
Born and raised in Miami, Alexander graduated from Palmetto Senior High School in 2006 top of his class before attending the University of Florida on a full scholarship. He graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration-Finance from the Warrington School of Business. Alexander earned his Master of Corporate Real Estate (MCR) Designation from CoreNet Global Class of 2016.
Alexander remains active in the community having graduated from the Leadership Miami Class of 2012-2013, which is sponsored by the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce. Currently, he serves as the co-chair of the Urban Land Institutes' Southeast Florida/Caribbean Young Leaders Group, president of the Bicycle Action Committee and is an active member of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation Real Estate Division.
