Joining Grosvenor in the UK in 2007, Alex took on his current role in 2019 and is responsible for our Co-Investment activities for Grosvenor Property Americas, leading the Structured Development Finance Programme in North America. The business provides structured capital for residential-led development projects across the metro areas of San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, Washington DC, Vancouver and Calgary. Before this role he led Grosvenor's Co-investment activities in Vancouver and Seattle. He moved to North America from Hong Kong in 2014, where he was Senior Investment Manager responsible for the acquisition of investment and development properties in Hong Kong and Southern China. Prior to his time in Hong Kong, Alex held a number of positions in London doing Asset Management and Corporate Finance in the United Kingdom. Alex is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and the Urban Development Institute (UDI). He is a guest speaker at the School of Urban Development and Sauder Business School. He previously sat on the Real Estate Committee of the British Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong and the Young Leadership Board of the Asian association for Investors in Non-listed Real Estate Vehicle (ANREV). Alex was educated at Oxford Brookes University (MSc, Real Estate Investment Management, 2006-2007) and Edinburgh University (MA Hons, English Literature and History of Art (2002-2006). He is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors; holds an Investment Management Certificate from the CFA society and is a registered Mortgage Broker in The Province of British Columbia, Canada.
