Alan Kofoed

Alan is Senior Vice President of Construction for Weingarten Realty. He is responsible for all facets Engineering and Construction of all WRI’s projects including shopping centers, mixed-use developments and other projects undertaken by the Company. Additionally, he is responsible for the engineering, environmental and construction due diligence activities for all acquisitions. Alan joined WRI in August 2001. He was named Senior Vice President in March 2011. He began his professional career as Project Manager for the Rouse Company and subsequently served as Vice President of Development for Prime Retail in which he was responsible for the development and construction of over 1.5 million square feet of Outlet Retail space throughout the United States. He earned his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. Alan is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, and formerly served on the Program Committee for Centerbuild within the ICSC organization.
