An environmentalist at heart, Adam believes that building dense, thoughtful, and innovative cities is key to protecting and preserving our planet and is an essential strategy to combating climate change. Adam’s background in architecture and environmental studies led him to the understanding that the developer has significant influence over the built environment, and by extension, the natural environment. With this sense of responsibility and stewardship, Adam endeavors to create compelling urban places. As President of Killian Pacific, Adam is responsible for day-to-day operations and oversees all company functional areas, ensuring that the company’s purpose and social impact initiatives are seamlessly woven into all facets of the business. He is a member of the firm’s Executive Leadership Team and Investment Committee. He is also a member of the ULI Urban Product Council of Portland and the Central Eastside Industrial Council’s Board of Directors. Adam has worn several hats at Killian Pacific over the years. Most notably, he has been a key member of our developments, successfully delivering four heavy-timber office buildings in the Portland metro area. Adam holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies from Kansas State University, a Master of Architecture from the University of Oregon, and an MBA from the University of Portland. Adam was born and raised in Kansas and now proudly calls Northeast Portland home where he resides with his partner Steve, and their dog Ollie.
