Adam Markman

Adam Markman serves as the Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Equity Commonwealth. Prior to joining Equity Commonwealth, Adam served as Managing Director of Green Street Advisors where he managed their consulting and advisory practice and played a key role in the firm’s REIT investment arm. In his 20 years at Green Street, Adam was involved in over $50 billion of transactions managing a partnership with Eastdil Secured, and he at one time led the firm’s retail and lodging research efforts. Adam has also served as a real estate consultant at Kenneth Leventhal & Co. He was a member of Green Street’s board of directors, currently sits on the Board of Directors of Mark IV Capital and RW Holdings NNN REIT, and is an adviser to TwinRock Partners’ Housing Fund. He is also a member of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT) and the Urban Land Institute (ULI). Adam has an MBA in Finance and Real Estate from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Economies of Industrial Societies from the University of California, Berkeley.
