Adam Foster

A senior member of CBRE’s Downtown Manhattan office, Adam Foster has been instrumental in shaping and transforming the Downtown market. Regarded as one of New York City’s most respected real estate experts, Adam’s extensive experience in not only the Downtown market but throughout Manhattan and the Tri-State region provides him with a deep knowledge of the industry—and he is often recognized for his creative and market-defining advice.

Throughout his career Adam been a sought-after advisor to a diverse roster of repeat clients from both the tenant and landlord side of the business—helping to shape and implement their successful real estate strategies.

The scale of Adam’s assignments ranges from single-occupancy transactions to multimarket portfolios. He regularly provides trusted counsel to organizations and owners such as Blackstone, BlackRock, Brookfield Properties, Silverstein Properties as well as numerous local entrepreneurial owners. In addition, he has represented companies such as AECOM, Emblem Health, IntraLinks, Sirius America, Mizuho Bank and Crum & Forster on multiple assignments over the course of many years.

Adam has been integrally involved in leasing more than 3.5 million sq. ft. at Lower Manhattan’s World Trade Center development to organizations such as Moody’s, Omnicom, Wilmer Hale, MediaMath, Group M, SNY and Zurich NA. He was most recently part of the team that represented Brookfield in the sale of a 49% interest in the 2.5 million-sq.-ft. One New York Plaza to a confidential offshore investor, and he is currently advising China Oceanwide in connection with a one-million-sq.-ft. development in Lower Manhattan.

Adam’s influence extends beyond the real estate industry and he is deeply committed to his community. He has served as a board member for the National Development & Research Institute, an advisor for the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council and is a member of his local community board. His philanthropic and charitable efforts include work with Birch Wathen Lenox School, Syracuse University, Education Alliance, Homes for Hope, Juvenile Diabetes, Cycle for Survival and other cancer-related charities.
