Bio
Joshua Canafax serves as Chief Investment Officer of Leon Capital Group, where he serves on the firm’s Investment Committee and is responsible for the establishment and oversight of the strategic direction and capitalization of each investment platform.
Since joining Leon Capital Group in 2012, Mr. Canafax has been involved in over 300 transactions encompassing $4 billion of real estate acquisitions and initiatives across the U.S. and Europe. He has played a critical role in the establishment of Leon Capital Group’s European Logistics Investment and Self-Storage Platform and is heavily involved in all investments made outside of the company’s core real estate platforms including direct investments in healthcare, technology and consumer service companies.
Mr. Canafax started his real estate career at Realpage, Inc. as a key member of the Asset Optimization/MPF Research team, the leading Apartment Market Research team in the U.S., where he ran forecasting for over 40 markets and was instrumental in the growth of market coverage from 27 markets to over 100 markets.
Mr. Canafax received a Master of Real Estate degree from the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University and graduated summa cum laude from Midwestern State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration double major in Finance and Accounting.
