Investing in The Environmental Charter School (ECS) means investing in an institution that has cultivated a successful educational model rooted in a deep connection to the environment, nurturing both intellectual growth and ecological awareness. ECS leverages its urban campus as a living laboratory, where students can explore the natural world and collaborate on projects from urban gardens to renewable energy initiatives. ECS creates hands-on opportunities for students to make a positive impact on their community and beyond and to date, ECS is the only Charter School to be approved by the Pittsburgh Public Schooling (‘PPS’) system and remains a complementary educational program to the traditional PPS facilities, not competitive.

The location of the ECS Primary School is settled within the next frontier of development in the city of Pittsburgh. Within ¼ mile, there is Rockwell Park, a $100MM + development of office, housing, and retail. Within 3 miles, Bakery Square, arguably one of the city’s most successful development with tenants such as Google, LA Fitness, and West Elm. Finally, the property sits in proximity to Squirrel Hill, Shadyside, and of course, Frick Park, the epicenter of ECS and their programming.
