Gastonia, North Carolina is a growing city located in the Charlotte metropolitan area. With a growing tourism industry and close proximity to popular attractions such as the US National Whitewater Center and Crowders Mountain State Park, Gastonia offers steady demand for hotel rooms. Additionally, the city has a diverse economy with a mix of industries and a low cost of living, which can provide a stable base of employment for residents and potential hotel guests. With easy access to major highways and a growing population, Gastonia is a city experiencing a lot of growth and investment.

 

Significant investments have recently been implemented to not only the Property but in Gastonia as well. In 2019/2020 the Property implemented approximately $600,000 ($7,500 per guestroom) of property improvements. The PIP addressed interior and exterior portions of the Hotel, incorporating IHG's Formula Blue standards. Furthermore, major companies are investing into the city such as Newell investing $135M in a distribution center for their brands of Rubbermaid, Mr. Coffee, Oster, and Sunbeam. This distribution center is located 5.2 miles from the Hotel. This is a continuing theme within North Carolina as it was named Business Facilities’ 2022 State of the Year to do Business, having won the same award in 2020. The larger metro area is also seeing consistent population growth, with the Charlotte-Concord-Gastonia metro being ranked as the 6th fastest growing city by population in the US for 2022 by Inspection Support Network.
