Steven T. Mosites Sr. founded Mosites Construction Company in 1959. Ten years later, The Mosites Brothers expanded into real estate and established the Development Division. Mosites' Building Division Team self-performs grading, excavation, backfill, demolition, all categories of concrete work, rough carpentry and finish carpentry. Mosites’ cost conscious, high-quality approach to Construction Management (CM) is the corner stone of our business and has been since 1959. Our team of professionals is with you every step of the way. Our clients have come to depend on our expertise, professionalism and ability to get the job done right and on time. From initial planning stages to completion, Mosites provides a unique design/build delivery system by teaming with highly skilled architects and project managers to meet our client’s specific needs. Our design/build team has extensive project experience that includes warehouses, offices, industrial sites and much more. One of the most important stages of construction takes place long before the machines begin moving earth and rock. Mosites’ professional preconstruction services get the right people involved with your project at the right time. Our extensive experience in educational, healthcare, industrial and commercial buildings coupled with our comprehensive preconstruction services will help you mitigate risks. Mosites offers General Contractor services and is responsible for the overall coordination of a project.

We are responsible for providing all of the material, labor, equipment and services necessary for the construction of the project. We procure specialized subcontractors to perform all or portions of the construction work. We assess the project-specific documents (referred to as bid, proposal or tender documents). Depending on the project delivery method, Mosites will submit a fixed price proposal, bid, cost plus price, or an estimate. Through 60 years of work as a contractor in the Western Pennsylvania Region, Mosites Construction Company has grown into an industry leader in heavy highway construction. Mosites Construction Heavy Division specializes in public sector projects involving both new construction and rehabilitation of bridges, tunnels, roads, walls and dams. Mosites utilizes innovative techniques to complete design and construction projects on schedule, with a strong emphasis on quality assurance and proactive construction site safety.

We take great pride in our ability to participate in the continuing renewal of the infrastructure of Pennsylvania. Some of our highest profile projects include the Liberty Tunnel, Rankin Bridge, Mon-Fayette Expressway, Tri-Boro Expressway and the Greenfield Bridge. Mosites continues a tradition of excellence to satisfy our key clients including PennDOT, WV Department of Highways, US Army Corps of Engineers, Port Authority of Allegheny County and the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission. The Development Company has a very diversified real estate portfolio of over two million square feet of buildings including, but not limited to, office buildings, national restaurant chain leases, retail shopping centers and light industrial and warehouse buildings. Also, Mosites controls over 600 acres of land for light industrial parks, office and research parks, individual buildings and future sites in Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Florida. Mosites Development Company has such prominent clients as Westinghouse, Bayer Corporation, Nabisco, Kmart and Wal-Mart as well as other national and regional companies.
