We are Leaders in Development, Acquisition, Management and Brokerage. Scott H. Gendell founded Terraco in 1985. We specialize in retail, office, medical and mixed-used properties, with an emphasis on neighborhood and community shopping centers and single-purpose retail destinations. Terraco has owned, developed and operated real estate in nine states, with a focus on the Chicago area, Northern Illinois and the Midwest. Terraco has developed more than 100 properties totaling over 5 million square feet on over 1,000 acres. We have subdivided large land tracts for mixed-use projects including residential, office and retail elements. We have worked with more than 50 municipalities and established a reputation for innovation in site planning and architectural and landscape design. Client-owned properties account for more than half of our management contracts.
