Somerset Partners is a private investment firm with commercial and multi-family property investments throughout the United States. Our clients and partners include both high net worth and institutional investors. While we view ourselves as long-term owners, when evaluating an investment opportunity our primary considerations are the specific portfolio requirements of our equity partners. Our conservative investment philosophy, disciplined investment process and dedication to timely divestiture has generated extraordinary returns for our investors. Since 2000, Somerset has put together a strong 13+ year track record on over $2 billion in acquisitions to date. Somerset focuses primarily on major metropolitan markets, seeking investments and development projects in the office and multi-family sectors. We endeavor to locate assets that have a unique, intrinsic quality that separate them from the pack. These unique qualities can be resident in the building’s architecture, location, floor plate or technological infrastructure. Our experience has shown that such qualities — which are not always readily apparent — allow these unique assets to perform better, over time, than the average “mid-block” building. We employ an entrepreneurial, hands-on asset management strategy that strives to maximize the value of our investments through creative recapitalization, market repositioning, restructuring, or redevelopment. We have effectively applied our investment strategy through a variety of market cycles and conditions.
