Quintus Development

Atlanta, GA

Quintus founder Ernest William ("E.W.") Keappler built his first house in 1948. Over the next 50 years, the Atlanta real estate developer expanded his interest and expertise into office, retail and multi-family development. A loving father and family man, E.W. raised his five children in the business, naming the firm after the Latin word for "five." All Quintus partnerships involve E.W.'s five children, each of whom was trained in the same principles of honesty, integrity and outstanding workmanship that marked E.W.'s success. Today, with the third Keappler generation leading the business, the family continues to make these principles a part of every Quintus venture. Many of these ventures also involve partners who share the Keapplers' committment to giving the customer and the community a lasting product and quality experience. The Quintus legacy began in 1948 when Ernest William Keappler, then a pilot with Eastern Airlines, built a home for his family in the Sylvan Terrace neighborhood of East Point, Ga. Requests to build homes for others quickly prompted E.W. to quit flying and build houses full time. E.W. Keappler was an opportunistic real estate entrepreneur, participating in virtually every real estate discipline from single family homes to commercial real estate during his lifetime. Now in its third generation, Quintus is refocused on developing, building and managing quality apartment homes throughout the southeast. Today, Quintus Development and its business affiliates own, manage and develop a growing portfolio of investment and speculative real estate in the Atlanta metro area. Among these are more than 2,000 garden-style apartment units, 180,000 square feet of warehouse space, a 235-acre business park, and several residential subdivisions.
