Established in 1989, Newcastle Properties, LLC is a private real estate investment firm operating a diversified national investment strategy with a strategic focus on the retail, multi-family, hospitality, and mixed-use sectors. Newcastle Properties is a strategic national investor and operator of commercial real estate properties. We acquire assets with a long-term investment perspective focusing on i) tenant attraction and retention, ii) detailed care and attention to property management, iii) value creation through redevelopment and/or capital improvement programs, and iv) execution of well-timed disposition strategies. Newcastle Properties invests primarily in major markets across the country with a current concentration in Chicago, Las Vegas, and Phoenix. The portfolio encompasses more than 80 properties in 23 states from Nevada to New Hampshire. We invest in single tenant net lease (STNL), multi-tenant stabilized value add and core plus assets which typically have low downside risk profiles, but strong upside potential. We have an expectation of holding these assets for the long term. Therefore, we place high importance on the quality and location of the real estate investments we own. Newcastle Properties was founded by James D. Devine and John E. Gross, two highly successful commercial real estate brokers in Chicago. Working for the legendary Arthur Rubloff & Co., they eventually joined together to start investing for their own account. With retail real estate as their initial focus, the portfolio of properties grew significantly, at one time topping 3,800,000 sf and currently totaling over 2,800,000 sf.
