Morris and Fellows, Inc.

Atlanta, GA

Morris & Fellows calls on its three decades of experience in historic urban retail districts to develop extraordinary retail-based mixed use properties that are enlivening downtowns throughout the southeast. Our projects achieve above-market economic returns, incorporate outstanding design and responsible environmental practices, honor history and support the arts in order to be of the greatest possible benefit to the communities they serve. Started in 1982, Morris & Fellows initially guided investors, institutions and city governments on strategic planning, design, development, merchandising, leasing and marketing of retail-based commercial real estate. Morris & Fellows then deployed the knowledge and perspective gained over three decades to develop, lease, own and manage upscale mixed use communities on its own behalf. Over the years, the firm worked on some of the western hemisphere’s most noteworthy properties including Colonial Williamsburg, Georgetown Park in Washington D.C., Toronto’s Eaton Centre, Tyson’s Corner, Lime Grove in Barbados, and The Summit in Birmingham. Morris & Fellows was also on the team that created downtown Rosemary Beach on Florida’s Emerald Coast, Town Brookhaven and Luckie Marietta a three block dining, retail and entertainment district on Centennial Olympic Park in downtown Atlanta.

Current projects include Woodstock City Center and Alpharetta City Center, both structured as public/private partnerships with their host cities. The firm’s development in Woodstock has garnered international attention as an unprecedented success and driver of ancillary economic redevelopment in its downtown environs. The firm’s projects have been awarded the “Development of Excellence” by the Urban Land Institute, cited as “Development of the Year” by the Atlanta Regional Commission, received the CNU “International Charter Award for Best Neighborhood-Scale District”, named “America’s Best Smart Growth Community” by the National Homebuilders Association, and “America’s Neighborhood” by Better Homes and Gardens Magazine.
