Our Story

Mountain Development Corporation (MDC) was founded by Jeff Kohn in 1994 to act as a holding company for private real estate holdings.

Epic was originally formed in 2005 as Epic Realty Partners with one client, one asset and one employee. At the time, the company focused on property management services at an institutional level of standard.

In 2019, Epic merged with MDC Group to create a North American Real Estate platform offering cross-border direct investing, fund investing and co-investing opportunities. Within its first year of operations under the newly formed entity, Epic launched its first US Multifamily Fund.

Today, Epic Investment Services and MDCRA in the U.S. employs over 150 real estate professionals across North America. Our heritage as investment managers, asset managers and property managers provides our clients an advantage in commercial real estate investing.
