Founded in 1960, MC Strauss Company is a leading private real estate investment, development and operating firm headquartered in greater San Diego. Our actively-managed portfolio consists of 25 properties encompassing approximately 1.5 million square feet. We specialize in neighborhood and community shopping centers. However, we have developed, and still own and operate, a regional mall, several office buildings (including executive office suites), industrial properties, and convalescent/board and care facilities. The portfolio is diversified in Southern California, Central California and Arizona. We look to continue to enhance our portfolio by the acquisition of anchored, well-located shopping centers, and office buildings, located in major metropolitan areas, with an emphasis in Southern California, but we are willing to consider select opportunities in the western United States if the properties are in primary markets and well located. Our long-term strategy is to acquire and hold investment real estate including both geographic and property type diversification. In addition, our in-house expertise in acquisitions, development, asset management and leasing affords us the ability to redevelop our properties as needed.
