Kornfeld Real Estate LLC is a private equity firm specializing in the development and ownership of quality Class-A shopping centers. The company owns a dozen retail properties in Colorado, Texas and Ohio. Its principals have developed more than four million square feet of retail space in the western United States, including Colorado, California, Arizona, Nebraska and Wyoming. Throughout its tenure, Kornfeld Real Estate has selected retail sites that excel in the fundamentals of retail: strong locations, quality anchors, high traffic counts, excellent access and unobstructed visibility. The firm strives to create a vibrant tenant mix in all of its centers, with a combination of national, regional and independent operators. Many of the tenants in Kornfeld centers were start-up businesses, and have grown into established stores and restaurants after many years of successful operation. The company has built its reputation on working closely with its tenants, taking an active role in the operations of its properties, and ensuring that it creates an environment in which its tenants thrive.In 1994 the firm’s Managing Partner, Brad Kornfeld, created The Kornfeld Real Estate Group, LLC, a consultancy that advises retailers, land owners, luxury hotels and local governments on a wide variety of retail issues.
