HMV Properties

Our principal owners Hiren and Hank Viroja migrated from western India to Mooresville, North Carolina. After graduating from the University of North Carolina, Hiren set his goal to become an entrepreneur. He started forming HMV properties in 2010 by opening an auto repair store, a strip mall, and some other small businesses, he finally purchased his first hotel. It was The Comfort Inn, a 129-room, a seven-story high-rise on Bee Street in Charleston Peninsula, providing luxury accommodations at affordable prices.

Hiren and his wife operated the property for seven years. His brother Hank joined the company after they acquired the Heartland Inn of Coralville in Iowa as an independent boutique hotel. After successfully operating two properties, HMV expanded its venture into multiple states with huge brands such as Hyatt, Hilton, Choice, Wyndham, and Radisson.

Currently, HMV Properties owns and manages many successful hotels and shopping centers throughout Carolina. While also investing in new hotels being built in Florida and North Carolina, HMV Properties has a very successful track record of completing complex renovations and repositioning underperforming hotels. Our success is derived from our talented leaders and team members who possess the combined skills and techniques of over one hundred and ten years of hospitality experience within the industry here in the USA and Internationally around the world.
