Founded in 2017 by David R. McCarthy, Heritage Housing, Inc. is a real estate development and investment firm located in South Norwalk, Connecticut with a focus on affordable housing preservation, renewal and development.

Heritage Housing, Inc. has expertise in ground-up 9% and 4% Low-Income Housing Tax Credit developments, 4% Low-Income Housing Tax Credit acquisition / rehabilitation developments, Section 8 developments, and RAD / Housing Authority conversions. Its principal has developed or preserved over 1,000 units of affordable housing in over 14 years of working in affordable housing.

HHI's mission is to enhance the lives of the families who rely on the availability of affordable housing, through the creation, preservation and rehabilitation of high-quality residential communities. Heritage Housing, Inc. is currently engaged in the construction or preservation of over 500 units of affordable housing in Connecticut, West Virginia and Pennsylvania. The firm leverages its founder's extensive experience in building or preserving over 1,000 units of affordable housing, including complex and significant projects reaching as large as 400 units and $100 million. We have deep expertise in the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit program; tax-exempt bond financing; HUD programs including Section 8, Section 236, and RAD; and state funding programs. We are equally adept at new construction and acquisition / rehabilitation.
