Hekemian & Co., Inc. is a third generation family-owned real estate management and development company, founded in the early 1920’s in Hackensack, NJ.

Following in the footsteps of his father who established the company, Robert Hekemian joined the firm in 1955. For over 60 years, Robert lead the steady and vigorous expansion of the company with the expertise of his own sons, Robert, Jr., Bryan and David, who joined the firm in the 1980’s.

Since then, Hekemian & Co. has expanded its portfolio of assets and services into the mid-Atlantic region of Northern Virginia and Maryland. The firm’s broadened capabilities have enabled them to expand their investment and development criteria to include mixed-use lifestyle and large-scale urban projects.

Today, the Hekemian brothers, along with their experienced staff of highly trained professionals, focus on the future; actively pursuing opportunities to acquire, develop, and enhance new and existing real estate.
