The Gilbert Group is a family-owned commercial real estate firm that was established in 1977 by Bruce Gilbert. The Columbus, Ohio based firm has provided solutions in retail real estate investment, brokerage, management, development and construction for 44 years. Currently, we are managing and/or marketing 156 assets of approximately 7.5 million square feet of retail space. The Gilbert Group actively represents a number of retailers as they expand throughout Ohio and the Midwest.

The Gilbert Group has been a nine time recipient of the Consumer’s Choice Award for our property management services. We have also been recognized in each of the last seven years by CoStar Power Broker as a “Top Firm” based upon transaction volume and square feet leased. Additionally, the firm and its affiliates have also been successful in the investment and ground-up development arena.

Our greatest asset is our team. The firm is led by Aaron Gilbert, who has been recognized by Business First as a “Forty Under 40” member for his outstanding professional drive and community involvement. The organization is also home to multiple CoStar Power Brokers that understand the regional retail landscape and have a strong local market knowledge. The Gilbert Group joined the dominant retail-only national affiliate ChainLinks Retail Advisors in 2015. ChainLinks has extensive national presence with offices in over 65 major markets across North America and 750+ local market retail broker specialists. Each independently owned and operated office is the "best-of-the-best" within its respective market. Combining the representation of the various member firms, ChainLinks exclusively represents over 1,500 retailers and over 200 million square feet of retail space. ChainLinks member firms completed more than 6,140 transactions totaling 61 million square feet of retail space and a consideration amount of approximately $9.5 billion nationwide in 2019.
