Mail-order pioneer Werner Otto founded ECE in 1965 in order to realize his group's real estate projects more successfully and to bring the idea of shopping centers to Germany. Today, under the leadership of Alexander Otto, we develop, realize and operate real estate in all asset classes and entire city districts. We offer comprehensive services including fund management from a single source. Even as a service provider we think and act like an investor. Because the Otto family is personally involved in many projects and partners and, thanks to its international network and strong financial power, enables us to be highly flexible, think long-term, have considerable growth opportunities and be highly reliable. We know that we are not solely responsible for our success. But that we have a responsibility for our work and its effects. That is why we use our expertise and resources time and again to review and improve our work and to commit ourselves to society. The ECE Group under the leadership of Alexander Otto (CEO) and Claudia Plath (CFO) is responsible for the strategy and management of the entire group. The two market divisions ECE Marketplaces (shopping centers) and ECE Work & Live (residential, hotel, logistics, office) offer their services independently. In addition, there is the fund company ECE Real Estate Partners as an independent, regulated Alternative Investment Fund Manager (AIFM) and ECE Living as a strategic partner for residential investments of national and international institutional investors. As a substructure, ECE Group Services provides all services within the group. As the European market leader in the shopping center sector, ECE has been broadly positioned on the market for over five decades. Each of the approximately 200 shopping centers is unique and managed by us in the best possible way. Our centers impress visitors with their individual architecture, their mixing of national and international, and their locally and regionally-based shopping concepts, all of which is tailored to their respective locations. Our 20,000 retail partners benefit from shops in prime locations and in sizes that offer them numerous opportunities to optimally develop their concepts.
