Cross Lake Partners is an independent, privately held real estate investment management firm with about $1B in AuM. Cross Lake Partners pursues a value driven, disciplined approach to investing in the growth markets (i.e., Sun Belt) of the US. The Firm was established in 2018 by Michael Barr and Jonathan Shumaker to continue the real estate investment platform formerly managed at Paulson & Co.

Prior to the formation of Cross Lake, our managing partners led CRE transactions with an aggregate asset value in excess of $20B. The team has executed on a wide array of single asset, portfolio and operating company transactions, with deep sector experience in both residential land development as well as the acquisition and development of single family, townhome, condo and apartment communities. Since 2010, our team has acquired over 30,000 home sites in our target sunbelt markets.
