James J. Cordano Co. is a commercial real estate company based in Sacramento, California. Founded in 1922, the real estate firm is one of the oldest on the West Coast. The firm developed one of the first regional shopping centers on the West Coast in 1952. Since then the firm has developed more than twelve enclosed regional shopping malls and numerous other community, strip, build to suit, and retail infill projects. Its brokerage division has completed lease transactions with nearly every chain store on the West Coast. The firm’s focus today is still the development of quality retail projects where they are needed and the acquisition of properties where it can add value through leasing, asset management and redevelopment.
