Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, Briarwood Capital Corporation was formed in 1996 by H. Walker Royall to develop and invest in commercial real estate opportunities with an emphasis on retail and multifamily properties. Briarwood Capital Corporation and its Principals have a combined 40+ year’s commercial real estate experience and control a portfolio valued at more than $400M. With headwinds in the retail development market, Briarwood has focused on the strong multifamily demand in Texas. Briarwood currently has more than 2,000 multifamily units, with an aggregate value in excess of $300M in development across seven projects in DFW and Austin. Briarwood is a well-capitalized firm with access to readily available, internal funds and strong banking relationships. In today’s market, we are focused on “opportunistic” investment and development deals throughout the state of Texas.
