Founded in 1931
Atapco Properties, is a wholly owned subsidiary of American Trading and Production Corporation (Atapco), which was originally formed to consolidate, expand and diversify the business activities of the Blaustein family, the founders of the American Oil Company (AMOCO).
Beginning over a century ago, Louis and Jacob Blaustein built the company’s foundation on a commitment to quality, integrity, excellence and dedication to the community. These qualities are carried on today by Atapco Properties under the leadership of its Chairman and Jacob Blaustein’s grandson, Daniel B. Hirschhorn.
Over the years, the company has built its reputation one relationship at a time. As a developer, we strive to work responsibly with our communities and to create environments that facilitate the success of our tenants. As an owner, we provide on-site management dedicated to responsive, high quality service for each of our tenants, large and small.
Retail. Industrial. Residential. Office. Mixed use. Raw land. Redevelopment. Tons of developers do one of them. Some do a couple. But precious few have the capital and expertise to execute successfully across all of these real estate categories. And even fewer have the long-term perspective and resources to perform, and even thrive, during all stages of a real estate market cycle. Atapco does.
We turn great thinking on paper into great places to live, work or play—and sometimes all three.
With a unique, collaborative structure and deep experience across all facets of development, we don’t just bring more to the table—we bring better to the table.
